It's official! Kitsap Quilts for Kids is partnering with Mary Bridge Children's Hospital!
All our quilts will be donated to children in the inpatient unit or are receiving long-term, on-going treatments such as dialysis, chemotherapy and radiation, extreme physical therapy and more. There are 40 beds in the inpatient unit alone, so we are in need of quilts for all ages (birth through 21) and genders!
Some of our quilts are also going to a division within Mary Bridge that prepares children for foster care. This group fills care packages for hospitalized or treated kids about to be placed in foster homes, and our quilts will become part of those packages.
Once a quilt has been given to a child, it becomes theirs for life! If you want to read how these quilts can affect a child in need or a family in need, visit the Quilts for Kids Official Website's
Stories page. Or our sister group Downy's Touch of Comfort program
Every Quilt Has A Story page.
Remember that the children receiving our quilts are facing difficult times, so fill the quilts with love and care! We're sending our local children quilted hugs!
